After 16 played minutes Galatasaray F.C got a freekick which was hit by Merih Özmen. Yaser Önen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ömer Cilasun in the 21st minute of play. Yaser Önen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şener Akçakoca in the 23rd minute of the match. Kanarya SK's Yaser Önen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şener Akçakoca in the 26th minute of play. Yaser Önen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Ömer Cilasun in the 30th minute of the match. Kanarya SK's Yaser Önen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Ömer Cilasun in the 32nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Ömer Cilasun made a kick off. Ahmet Danış Mansız recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Yaser Önen throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ali Ömer Cilasun in the 62ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Şener Akçakoca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ender Hatemoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Danış Mansız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Ömer Cilasun might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yaser Önen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Ömer Cilasun ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Ahmet Danış Mansız notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Galatasaray F.C's Ender Hatemoğlu. Ender Hatemoğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kanarya SK's Ahmet Danış Mansız got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
