After 24 played minutes Malkara got a freekick which was hit by Şenel Ulukan. After a defensive mix-up in Malkara's zone, Vefa Okatan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yıldırım Gencay came out of the goal and Vefa Okatan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vefa Okatan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yıldırım Gencay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kıraç Tunçkaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Demircan Kanat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Erdeniz Atasoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malkara's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdeniz Atasoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aykut Keşif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kıraç Tunçkaya to make the kick off. Şenel Ulukan kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Vefa Okatan took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yıldırım Gencay. Yıldırım Gencay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kıraç Tunçkaya in the 62nd minute of play forced Malkara's goalkeeper Yıldırım Gencay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Erdeniz Atasoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykut Keşif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vefa Okatan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Yıldırım Gencay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Karaburun SK's Kıraç Tunçkaya slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yıldırım Gencay. That made the score 0-2 after 72 minutes of play. When Batur Özkurt came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Malkara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batur Özkurt couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Erdeniz Atasoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykut Keşif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Halim Bintuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Batur Özkurt might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aykut Keşif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Batur Özkurt ran back to his position shaking his head. Batur Özkurt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aykut Keşif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aykut Keşif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erdeniz Atasoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
