Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Samandagi's Teoman Durdu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erdeniz Atasoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Batur Özkurt struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Niyazi Sarih didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malkara. Azmi Başdaş hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Meriç Akalın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malkara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erdeniz Atasoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Batur Özkurt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Niyazi Sarih, passed just outside the right post. Meriç Akalın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Yıldırım Gencay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldırım Gencay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teoman Durdu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
