Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erdeniz Atasoy got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the game, one of Malkara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Yıldırım Gencay had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Şamil Tunçkılıç's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-0 came in the 6th minute when Şamil Tunçkılıç all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Yıldırım Gencay. If Erdeniz Atasoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdi Saygın Dengizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yıldırım Gencay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dinçer Çetintürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emirgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinçer Çetintürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yıldırım Gencay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Emirgan's Dinçer Çetintürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yıldırım Gencay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdi Saygın Dengizer struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Yıldırım Gencay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emirgan. After a rather tough play, Malkara's Ali Numan Settar got a free kick in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Saygın Dengizer in the 22nd minute of play forced Malkara's goalkeeper Yıldırım Gencay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinçer Çetintürk in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yıldırım Gencay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emirgan's Faruk Tümenbay shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yıldırım Gencay but with some difficulty. Abdi Saygın Dengizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yıldırım Gencay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Dinçer Çetintürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Azmi Başdaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malkara and the Emirgan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malkara's Azmi Başdaş got a free kick in the 37th minute. Faruk Tümenbay hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, one of Emirgan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Emirgan. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdi Saygın Dengizer to strike the kick off in the second half. Erdeniz Atasoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Enginsu Özbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malkara's Erdeniz Atasoy got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batur Özkurt got free with Enginsu Özbay in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 played minutes Emirgan got a freekick which was hit by Cevher Veysel. The audience was convinced that Dinçer Çetintürk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yıldırım Gencay was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinçer Çetintürk in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yıldırım Gencay saved Malkara from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Malkara's goal looked a bit too open when Dinçer Çetintürk came free, but Yıldırım Gencay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dinçer Çetintürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Saygın Dengizer in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yıldırım Gencay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malkara's Erdeniz Atasoy got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Abdi Saygın Dengizer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldırım Gencay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Dinçer Çetintürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dinçer Çetintürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldırım Gencay having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Dinçer Çetintürk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdi Saygın Dengizer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldırım Gencay having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Emirgan had played much better football throughout.
