Cüneyt Akçınar might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yavuz Selim Kamran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cüneyt Akçınar ran back to his position shaking his head. Halit Fahri Ülkenur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cengiz Güzir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Reşit İlkim got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sutaşı Direniş Spor's goalkeeper Cengiz Güzir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Sutaşı Direniş Spor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cevdet Dağhan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
