A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ahmet Koralp Ayhan hit a great ball. A collision led to Saimbeyli getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nuralp Canay hit a great ball. Hıncal Mecit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekrem Canbolat having to interfere. A collision led to Saimbeyli getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Arif Gaffar Akarsu hit a great ball. In the 17th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yüksel Cevher to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Vefa Orcun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Akçam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Refik Mengübay. After 36 minutes, Mesut Kayrar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Saimbeyli players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Mesut Kayrar got a free kick in the 37th minute. GALATASARAY's Ekrem Canbolat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. Talip Uluerkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekrem Canbolat having to interfere. Asaf Zorbey hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Mesut Kayrar took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Halim Akçam. Halim Akçam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu to make the kick off. Ekrem Canbolat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Talip Uluerkan's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When Nuralp Canay fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saimbeyli's protests and gave Nuralp Canay a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Saimbeyli got a freekick which was hit by Nuralp Canay. If Mesut Kayrar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vefa Orcun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halim Akçam having to interfere. Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ekrem Canbolat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saimbeyli's Halim Akçam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Saimbeyli from getting a goal against them. Saimbeyli's Halim Akçam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vefa Orcun in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Mesut Kayrar could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Halim Akçam however easily saved by the left post. After 94 minutes, Yüksel Cevher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Saimbeyli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yüksel Cevher kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. GALATASARAY played a much better game than Saimbeyli and deserved their victory. The Saimbeyli players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
