Saimbeyli's Hıncal Mecit got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Saimbeyli's Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şerif Cihangir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 7 played minutes Usak got a freekick which was hit by İstemihan İşçen. Şerif Cihangir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu in the 11th minute of the match. Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerif Cihangir having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Saimbeyli's Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şerif Cihangir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the game, Ahmet Reha Tor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Usak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saimbeyli the free kick. 37 minutes into the game, one of Usak:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hıncal Mecit was the one to do the kick off. Halim Akçam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Serhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Hüseyin İbrahimoğlu took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Şerif Cihangir to make any attempt to save it. The Saimbeyli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halim Akçam should have stopped the shot.
