The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erman Batüralp helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ovacik booed when Serik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erman Batüralp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kutay Ergüner in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meriç Lokman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ovacik's Meriç Lokman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erman Batüralp in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Serik's Kutay Ergüner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Meriç Lokman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Meriç Lokman came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Serik's Kutay Ergüner. But to his dismay, Kutay Ergüner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Meriç Lokman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meriç Lokman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Meriç Lokman was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 31 minutes of play, Serik's Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 42nd minute, Erman Batüralp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Ovacik's goal looked a bit too open when Özalp Ulutay came free, but Meriç Lokman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ovacik's Gökcan Okutan got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu made the kick off in the second half. Meriç Lokman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erman Batüralp's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Meriç Lokman, 0-4. Veysel Şerafeddin charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Veysel Şerafeddin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Veysel Şerafeddin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovacik's Ahmet Ceyhan Özerkin got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serik's supporters rose to their feet, but Erman Batüralp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meriç Lokman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovacik's Meriç Lokman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erman Batüralp in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Ahmet Haşim Boz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kutay Ergüner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Meriç Lokman made a huge save. When Serik's Osman Bostancıoğlu in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ovacik's goalie prevented a goal. Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meriç Lokman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu in the 88th minute of play forced Ovacik's goalkeeper Meriç Lokman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meriç Lokman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Serik left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ovacik.
