When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu sped through Demokrasi ve Atılım's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abdi Nesim. After a rather tough play, Serik's Osman Bostancıoğlu got a free kick in the 16th minute. Abdi Nesim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutay Ergüner, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Işıkalp İmge hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Mümtaz Eğriöz charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mümtaz Eğriöz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute of the match Osman Bostancıoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdi Nesim skillfully saved the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafettin Ekiner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Demokrasi ve Atılım's goalkeeper Abdi Nesim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafettin Ekiner came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Demokrasi ve Atılım's Timur Devrim. But to his dismay, Timur Devrim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdi Nesim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Timur Devrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafettin Ekiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Yaşar Nuri Çakıroğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erman Batüralp in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The referee ignored Demokrasi ve Atılım's protests and gave Sabit Arısan a yellow card for diving instead. Özalp Ulutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Abdi Nesim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veysel Şerafeddin's late challenge caught a Demokrasi ve Atılım's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veysel Şerafeddin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Serik getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Veysel Şerafeddin hit a great ball. Demokrasi ve Atılım's Timur Devrim got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Serik players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
