The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan scored 1-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ertuğrul Tanyeli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ertuğrul Tanyeli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TEMUR FK. A collision led to Sarı Kanarya getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Zeynel Okman hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Sarı Kanarya's goalkeeper Ertuğrul Tanyeli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan. Zeynel Okman charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeynel Okman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sarı Kanarya getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zeynel Okman hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Ali Ömer Ersan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 22nd minute, but Ertuğrul Tanyeli got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Sarı Kanarya hanging dry this time. In the 30th match minute, Sarı Kanarya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeynel Okman to maneuver through the defense. Batıkan Sevimli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Vedat İrfanoğlu in the 37th minute of the match. Dinç Cangiray kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ertuğrul Tanyeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battal Cüneyt Özsungur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, TEMUR FK's Battal Cüneyt Özsungur dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cevdet Akbatu was the one to do the kick off. If Yavuz Selim Koryürek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Sarı Kanarya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altay Ulumeriç to maneuver through the defense. TEMUR FK's Batıkan Sevimli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save TEMUR FK from getting a goal against them. Ertuğrul Tanyeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derviş Özveren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sarı Kanarya's Yakut Ustaoğlu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ertuğrul Tanyeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TEMUR FK's Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul Tanyeli having to interfere. In the 75th minute Mustafa Barış Gökdoğan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ertuğrul Tanyeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cevdet Akbatu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Batıkan Sevimli. The goal made the score 2-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sarı Kanarya fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Serbülent Borlu shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ertuğrul Tanyeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derviş Özveren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selim Koryürek in the 84th minute of play forced Sarı Kanarya's goalkeeper Ertuğrul Tanyeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 played minutes TEMUR FK got a freekick which was hit by Serbülent Borlu.
