In the 8th minute, Afyon's Atakan Özdemir dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 16 minutes, Şeray Şömel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evciler SK and the Afyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Şeray Şömel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Afyon booed when Evciler SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Öztürk Oker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Ferit Tanacan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Evciler SK's Tolunay Temren didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Evciler SK's zone, Muhittin Üner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolunay Temren came out of the goal and Muhittin Üner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onurhan Çoğahan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes, Onurhan Çoğahan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Afyon and the Evciler SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Onurhan Çoğahan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evciler SK's Bayezit Salur couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Afyon. When Enver Ersoy fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Afyon's protests and gave Enver Ersoy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Afyon getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Enver Ersoy hit a great ball. Afyon's Onurhan Çoğahan got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Onurhan Çoğahan off the ground. In the 32nd match minute, Afyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onurhan Çoğahan to maneuver through the defense. Erdinç Oruk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsmail Orhun Merdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Afyon's Erdinç Oruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gafur Eker in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Gafur Eker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Evciler SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gafur Eker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ferit Tanacan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Gafur Eker took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Erdinç Oruk to make any attempt to save it. Erdinç Oruk made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when İsmail Orhun Merdan sent off a good shot on target. Tolunay Temren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhittin Üner in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play Evciler SK's Şeray Şömel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 63rd match minute, Evciler SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şeray Şömel to maneuver through the defense. If İsmail Orhun Merdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Afyon booed when Evciler SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayezit Salur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when İsmail Orhun Merdan got free with Erdinç Oruk in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Muhittin Üner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afyon's Enver Ersoy got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Enver Ersoy off the ground. After 82 played minutes Afyon got a freekick which was hit by Enver Ersoy. İsmail Orhun Merdan took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erdinç Oruk. Erdinç Oruk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Muhittin Üner charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muhittin Üner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 90 in the game by İsmail Orhun Merdan from a close distance when the talented Erdinç Oruk managed to make a qualified save. Afyon's players were relieved. 93 minutes into the game, Gafur Eker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Evciler SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Afyon the free kick. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Evciler SK! Tolunay Temren went to the wrong direction when Ferit Tanacan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Afyon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Evciler SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Evciler SK.
