The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Zaid Aydın was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gülsehir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karakartal FK the free kick. The supporters of Karakartal FK booed when Gülsehir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaid Aydın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gencal Yafes in the 16th minute. Ali Vedat Hakans short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yaman İlkay might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yaman İlkay ran back to his position shaking his head. Ali Vedat Hakan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bedirhan Songur charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bedirhan Songur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Karakartal FK getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bedirhan Songur hit a great ball. Ali Vedat Hakan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Vedat Hakan got free with Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 45 minutes, Kudret Karacabey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gülsehir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kudret Karacabey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yaman İlkay to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Vedat Hakan in the 53rd minute of play forced Gülsehir's goalkeeper Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Bedirhan Songur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karakartal FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedirhan Songur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Behiç Satır made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bedirhan Songur. Kudret Karacabey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kudret Karacabey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ali Vedat Hakan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karakartal FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Vedat Hakan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nejat Baysoy kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Zaid Aydın was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 74th minute, Zaid Aydın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Vedat Hakan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Bedirhan Songur made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan. Gülsehir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Özden Fırat's late challenge caught a Karakartal FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Özden Fırat helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Gülsehir got a freekick which was hit by Özden Fırat. Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Vedat Hakan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Yaman İlkay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Oğuz Şahistan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
