Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baran Baturalp kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gencal Arslanşah in the 9th minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Ertunç Taif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Izmirspor got a freekick which was hit by Yiğit Can Zahit. Gencal Arslanşah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertunç Taif having to interfere. When Nihat Okatay came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Erzincan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nihat Okatay couldn't finish the play. Enis Behiç Seçkin hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nihat Okatay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertunç Taif having to interfere. Abdullah Afşaroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baran Baturalp in the 19th minute of play. Ertunç Taif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nihat Okatay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olgun Mansız kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ertunç Taif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gencal Arslanşah in the 24th minute of play. Ertunç Taif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nihat Okatay in the 25th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Gencal Arslanşah notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Izmirspor's Ertunç Taif. Ertunç Taif was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nihat Okatay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gencal Arslanşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Izmirspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Erzincan were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gencal Arslanşah was the one to do the kick off. Nihat Okatay might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ertunç Taif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nihat Okatay ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Erzincan booed when Izmirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enis Behiç Seçkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nihat Okatay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kürşat Rahmet hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Gencal Arslanşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Erzincan's Nizam Oykut got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ertunç Taif made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nihat Okatay sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Izmirspor booed when Erzincan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Hamza Ethem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erzincan's Abdullah Afşaroğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enis Behiç Seçkin in the 79th minute of play. Ertunç Taif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gencal Arslanşah in the 81st minute of play. Nihat Okatay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ertunç Taif firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ertunç Taif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nihat Okatay in the 89th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Nihat Okatay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzincan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nihat Okatay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Erzincan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Izmirspor.
