Izmirspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erzincan the free kick. After a rather tough play, Izmirspor's Caner Deveci got a free kick in the 8th minute. Erzincan's Arif Nihat Özdurdu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Izmirspor. In the 13th minute, Hakkı Deniz Gence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Ata Direnç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izmirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ata Direnç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ata Direnç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izmirspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ata Direnç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdullah Afşaroğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Izmirspor's Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nihat Okatay in the 33rd minute of play. Erzincan's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nihat Okatay got free with Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Nedim Ünsan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Izmirspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nihat Okatay got free with Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Nihat Okatay sent off a good shot on target. Gencal Arslanşah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil having to interfere. Abdullah Afşaroğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Deniz Gence in the 72nd minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdullah Afşaroğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erzincan's Gencal Arslanşah got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hakkı Deniz Gence scored 4-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdullah Afşaroğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Izmirspor were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Erzincan for a fine match.
