The supporters of GAZİANTEPSPOR booed when Adapazarı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadim Hadim didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mürsel Topçam in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nadir Sebati saved GAZİANTEPSPOR from getting behind. Nadir Sebati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mürsel Topçam, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes GAZİANTEPSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Behram Elmastaş. GAZİANTEPSPOR's Nadir Sebati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mürsel Topçam in the 11th minute of play. Ahmet Binalp scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nadir Sebati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sergen Tokyüz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Sergen Tokyüz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necaettin Hacıbeyoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anıl Ozan Özger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GAZİANTEPSPOR's Cihat Cansal got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the GAZİANTEPSPOR defense, Ahmet Binalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nadir Sebati. The GAZİANTEPSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nadir Sebati should have stopped the shot. A collision led to GAZİANTEPSPOR getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Behram Elmastaş hit a great ball. Adapazarı's Mürsel Topçam got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in GAZİANTEPSPOR's zone, Mürsel Topçam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nadir Sebati came out of the goal and Mürsel Topçam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Necaettin Hacıbeyoğlu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mürsel Topçam in the 51st minute of play forced GAZİANTEPSPOR's goalkeeper Nadir Sebati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 51 minutes, Behram Elmastaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GAZİANTEPSPOR and the Adapazarı players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mürsel Topçam might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nadir Sebati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mürsel Topçam ran back to his position shaking his head. Mürsel Topçam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Adapazarı got a freekick which was hit by Akşemseddin İbiş. Ahmet Binalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Sebati having to interfere. When Behram Elmastaş was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. In the 75th minute, Behram Elmastaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mürsel Topçam didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-4 via right post in the game's 78th minute. Adapazarı's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, İlhami Arslangiray managed to get in a good position for a shot. GAZİANTEPSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami Arslangiray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergen Tokyüz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mürsel Topçam was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Adapazarı's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mürsel Topçam in the 87th managed to get into a good position. Ahmet Binalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Nadir Sebati made a huge save. The Adapazarı supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adapazarı would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
