After 16 played minutes Galata SK got a freekick which was hit by Arda Ula. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Soner Baltacı during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Titus booed when Galata SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Soner Baltacı didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes, Aktan Erentürk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Titus and the Galata SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Titus! FC Titus:s Ertunç Tengiroğlu showed great skill when he stopped Namık Sarper:s penalty. After some careless play in the FC Titus defense, Namık Sarper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ertunç Tengiroğlu. The FC Titus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ertunç Tengiroğlu should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yavuz Selimhan Onkal got free with Ertunç Tengiroğlu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Titus's Ertunç Tengiroğlu got control of the ball when Yavuz Selimhan Onkal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Aybar Yalınalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galata SK's Eralp Barlas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Aybar Yalınalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eralp Barlas was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aybar Yalınalp to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Galata SK's zone, Nazmi Hanönü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eralp Barlas came out of the goal and Nazmi Hanönü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Aybar Yalınalp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eralp Barlas. Aybar Yalınalp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Ertunç Tengiroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basri Mutlutekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selimhan Onkal in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Titus's goalkeeper Ertunç Tengiroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Galata SK's Refik Halit Ceri got a free kick in the 64th minute. Ertunç Tengiroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selimhan Onkal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basri Mutlutekin struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ertunç Tengiroğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galata SK. Nazmi Hanönü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Arda Ula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 89th minute, Namık Sarper sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Titus's Ertunç Tengiroğlu didn't even have to move. Ertunç Tengiroğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yavuz Selimhan Onkal went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
