The audience was convinced that Basri Mutlutekin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kadri Urhan was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Kadri Urhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basri Mutlutekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Gazanfer Özcan İstikbal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Basri Mutlutekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kadri Urhan made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Yavuz Selimhan Onkal sent off a good shot on target. When Basri Mutlutekin came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Galata SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basri Mutlutekin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ATATüRK FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Haydar Talaykan hit a great ball. Galata SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
