Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GAZİANTEPSPOR's Necaettin Hacıbeyoğlu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Basri Mutlutekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nadir Sebati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nadir Sebati made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Yavuz Selimhan Onkal sent off a good shot on target. Galata SK were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after GAZİANTEPSPOR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Namık Sarper took the corner. In the 18th minute, Yavuz Selimhan Onkal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 21 played minutes GAZİANTEPSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Behram Elmastaş. If Basri Mutlutekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basri Mutlutekin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nadir Sebati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Galata SK's Namık Sarper couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GAZİANTEPSPOR. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, Basri Mutlutekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nadir Sebati was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basri Mutlutekin in the 59th minute of play forced GAZİANTEPSPOR's goalkeeper Nadir Sebati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Galata SK's Yavuz Selimhan Onkal in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GAZİANTEPSPOR's goalie prevented a goal. Basri Mutlutekin scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nadir Sebati, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Arda Ula managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galata SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arda Ula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nadir Sebati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yavuz Selimhan Onkal in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nadir Sebati saved GAZİANTEPSPOR from getting behind. Nadir Sebati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Selimhan Onkal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Lütfi Orkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selimhan Onkal in the 78th minute of play forced GAZİANTEPSPOR's goalkeeper Nadir Sebati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Yavuz Selimhan Onkal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GAZİANTEPSPOR's Nadir Sebati was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nadir Sebati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Selimhan Onkal in the 83rd minute of play. İlhami Arslangiray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eralp Barlas having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Basri Mutlutekin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nadir Sebati. GAZİANTEPSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basri Mutlutekin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Nadir Sebati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basri Mutlutekin in the 93rd minute of play. Galata SK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
