The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Malkara getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ecevit Hirfanlı hit a great ball. Artun Önateş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Azim Egesel made a huge save. After 5 minutes, Abdulvahit Candemir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malkara and the Basbasi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Basbasi booed when Malkara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulvahit Candemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Malkara's Azim Egesel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nebi Canfer in the 8th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Malkara got a freekick which was hit by Mümtazer Özer. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Basbasi's goalkeeper Rıdvan Reha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nebi Canfer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azim Egesel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nebi Canfer in the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Malkara's Gürsel Sağlamtürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rıdvan Reha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şentürk Birtan hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Malkara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Malkara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
