In the 16th minute, Cem Onural ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taci Ceyhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 23rd minute Sadri Polathan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cihan Göktepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Tunçkan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Taci Ceyhan having to make a save. Mehmet Safi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Ali Tuğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Cihan Göktepe made a huge save. Mehmet Safi struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Cihan Göktepe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1923 İstanbul FK. After 35 played minutes 1923 İstanbul FK got a freekick which was hit by Bilal Özdal. 37 minutes into the game, Gazisehir Gaziantep FK's Cem Onural nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Taci Ceyhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cihan Göktepe made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Mustafa Ali Tuğlu sent off a good shot on target. Gazisehir Gaziantep FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1923 İstanbul FK the free kick. A collision led to Gazisehir Gaziantep FK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rafettin Esay hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, 1923 İstanbul FK's Emin Lami tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Varol Tanır in the 61st minute of play forced Gazisehir Gaziantep FK's goalkeeper Cihan Göktepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes, Gaffar Tonguç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gazisehir Gaziantep FK and the 1923 İstanbul FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Gazisehir Gaziantep FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 1923 İstanbul FK:s goal. After 71 played minutes, 1923 İstanbul FK's Emin Lami shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cihan Göktepe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 1923 İstanbul FK reached it. The audience was convinced that Mustafa Ali Tuğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cihan Göktepe was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cihan Göktepe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Mustafa Ali Tuğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
