Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Nasir Bahadıroğlu started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Özdemir Canay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the İstanbul FC and the YOZGAT 1959 FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Özdemir Canay hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Berkem Coşkunsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Tibet Gülerce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Metin Sarduç was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tamer Uyguralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkem Coşkunsu in the 21st minute of play. A hard shot 23 in the game by Tibet Gülerce from a close distance when the talented Metin Sarduç managed to make a qualified save. YOZGAT 1959 FK's players were relieved. 24 minutes into the match, YOZGAT 1959 FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nasir Bahadıroğlu came free, but Metin Sarduç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Rafet Turkay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tibet Gülerce managed to get in a good position for a shot. İstanbul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibet Gülerce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Metin Sarduç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Cumali Çalkın managed to get in a good position for a shot. YOZGAT 1959 FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Cumali Çalkın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamer Uyguralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdülhak İdrisoğlu to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, YOZGAT 1959 FK's Gökalp Nefi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tamer Uyguralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökalp Nefi in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, İstanbul FC's Tamer Uyguralp got control of the ball when Arnoldo Chabier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tibet Gülerce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Metin Sarduç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Abdülhak İdrisoğlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Tamer Uyguralp however easily saved by the left post. If Abdülhak İdrisoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cumali Çalkın was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tamer Uyguralp came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by YOZGAT 1959 FK's Abdülhak İdrisoğlu. But to his dismay, Abdülhak İdrisoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Raşit Rasih kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Başar Yiğithan in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by YOZGAT 1959 FK's Arnoldo Chabier. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökalp Nefi in the 86th minute of play forced İstanbul FC's goalkeeper Tamer Uyguralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, İstanbul FC's Rafet Turkay got a free kick in the 88th minute. Arnoldo Chabier kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Abdülhak İdrisoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tamer Uyguralp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Gökalp Nefi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Uyguralp having to interfere. YOZGAT 1959 FK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
