An unexpectedly hard shot by Raşit Tuğsan in the 17th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Sezgin Demir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Arda Göksel Ulucan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Demir having to interfere. Sezgin Demir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şimşek Kadri in the 54th minute of play. Mirkelam Garipbaş charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mirkelam Garipbaş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Halkali SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GALATASARAY:s goal. Raşit Tuğsan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şimşek Kadri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Halkali SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuncer Başbuğoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Boğaç Taçkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Halkali SK's Raşit Tuğsan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sezgin Demir. That made the score 2-3 after 78 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raşit Tuğsan got free with Sezgin Demir in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şimşek Kadri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Demir having to interfere. Sezgin Demir was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Arda Göksel Ulucan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
