The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Boğaç Taçkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, Kudret Sarpkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erdek FK the free kick. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Kudret Sarpkan got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Erdek FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dündar Soyuer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bülent Gemici made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Boğaç Taçkın sent off a good shot on target. After 16 played minutes Erdek FK got a freekick which was hit by Vahap Yunus. With a little luck, Erdek FK's Bülent Gemici got control of the ball when Boğaç Taçkın tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dündar Soyuer during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dündar Soyuer hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Erdek FK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Behzat Hunalp hit a great ball. GALATASARAY's Mustafa Emrah Köksal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bülent Gemici but with some difficulty. Boğaç Taçkın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bülent Gemici having to interfere. Boğaç Taçkın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Bülent Gemici made a huge save. 35 minutes into the game, one of Erdek FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Can Tosunoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Behzat Hunalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Erdek FK's Can Tosunoğlu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sezgin Demir. That made the score 1-2 after 66 minutes of play. Bülent Gemici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erim Kabakçı in the 70th minute of the match. Erdek FK's Dündar Soyuer got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Dündar Soyuer off the ground. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Erdek FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dündar Soyuer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fatih Kotuz hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Boğaç Taçkın left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALATASARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Erdek FK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing GALATASARAY to leave the ground with a draw.
