The audience was convinced that Osman Servet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sezgin Uygur was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Özkan Taceddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aybek Tüzel in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Ceyhan FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Osman Servet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ceyhan FK's Özkan Taceddin got control of the ball when Ercan Suer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match, Aybek Tüzel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Özkan Taceddin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 94 minutes, Aybek Tüzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akyurt FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aybek Tüzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Özkan Taceddin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aybek Tüzel in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Akyurt FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ceyhan FK.
