After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Yıldırım Paksoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsun JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yıldırım Paksoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cenap Taha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Trabzonspor's zone, Şerif Ergümen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cenap Taha came out of the goal and Şerif Ergümen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Samsun JK's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Anıl Barbaros came free, but Müfit Tanyeri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şerif Ergümen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cenap Taha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cenap Taha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yıldırım Paksoy in the 21st minute of the match. Samsun JK's Şerif Ergümen got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Samsun JK's Yıldırım Paksoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cenap Taha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cenap Taha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şerif Ergümen in the 28th minute of play. Fevzi Güzir charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fevzi Güzir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fevzi Güzir hit a great ball. When Mustafa Anıl Barbaros fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
