Samsun JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yeniköy SK the free kick. A collision led to Samsun JK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Yeniköy SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Altuğ Bayer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Müfit Tanyeri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yıldırım Paksoy in the 26th minute of play forced Yeniköy SK's goalkeeper Tanju Kuthan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yıldırım Paksoy in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanju Kuthan saved Yeniköy SK from getting behind. Şerif Ergümen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Tanju Kuthan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsun JK. Bahattin Tengiroğlu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Samsun JK's Ceyhan Cansun got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Yeniköy SK's Altuğ Bayer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Müfit Tanyeri narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
