The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşkın Sarvan in the 15th minute of play forced Gündoğdu's goalkeeper Glenn Ackroyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gündoğdu booed when Orhaneli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Gündüz Şahkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Gündoğdu's goal looked a bit too open when Tayfun Aydoğdu came free, but Glenn Ackroyd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
