Abbas Onursals short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Faruk Uluer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Islahiye SK booed when Ankara Akademi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orbay Rıfat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abbas Onursal kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ankara Akademi's Umut Onay got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Umut Onay fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ankara Akademi's protests and gave Umut Onay a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Ankara Akademi got a freekick which was hit by Umut Onay. After 23 played minutes Islahiye SK got a freekick which was hit by Kahraman Tecimer. Melih Delioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Feyyaz Ümran reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Faruk Uluer. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 35 minutes, Abbas Onursal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Islahiye SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abbas Onursal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Hafız Özbilek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Islahiye SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankara Akademi the free kick. After a rather tough play, Islahiye SK's Hafız Özbilek got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute Ünal Direm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abidin Nazif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Ankara Akademi got a freekick which was hit by Bünyamin Sökmensu. 46 minutes into the game, Ankara Akademi's Ünal Direm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abidin Nazif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ünal Direm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mutlu Atabek hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Melih Delioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abidin Nazif having to interfere. Feyyaz Ümran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Islahiye SK's zone, Melih Delioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abidin Nazif came out of the goal and Melih Delioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the game, Ankara Akademi's Melih Delioğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abidin Nazif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Islahiye SK's goalkeeper Abidin Nazif, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ünal Direm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melih Delioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Abidin Nazif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ankara Akademi's goalkeeper Faruk Uluer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Ünal Direm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ankara Akademi getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Berkan Ayvazoğlu hit a great ball. Faruk Uluer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafız Özbilek, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ankara Akademi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
