Ergin Bayrak made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Münir Has sent off a good shot on target. Ali Galip Sargın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ali Galip Sargın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes in the game, Ali Galip Sargın fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ergin Bayrak having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Savastepe's Yıldıray Tahsin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Savastepe from getting a goal against them. Ali Galip Sargın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ergin Bayrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ergin Bayrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Münir Has in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Ali Galip Sargın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Galip Sargın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ergin Bayrak having to interfere. Ergin Bayrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Münir Has's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Ergin Bayrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Münir Has, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ali Galip Sargın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ergin Bayrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play.
