Fethi Akersoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Yılmaz Şendoğan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Yılmaz Şendoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute, Mehmet Ediz Aktaşlı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zülfikar Alptekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Yılmaz Şendoğan might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fethi Akersoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yılmaz Şendoğan ran back to his position shaking his head. Yılmaz Şendoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ali Kağan Şükran was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Balcova players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
