In the 17th minute, Göktuğ Ersal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinç Vahap's late challenge caught a Karabaglar Fk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinç Vahap helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kayserispor SK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dinç Vahap hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Sertaç Tayfun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shao Hao Ming showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Özgün Akel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göktuğ Ersal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Göktuğ Ersal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kayserispor SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Karabaglar Fk defense, Göktuğ Ersal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özgün Akel. The Karabaglar Fk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özgün Akel should have stopped the shot. Tadeusz Zajonc kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Göktuğ Ersal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Özgün Akel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Kayserispor SK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göktuğ Ersal to make the kick off. Özgün Akel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktuğ Ersal in the 60th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Karabaglar Fk's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Akersoy came free, but Özgün Akel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göktuğ Ersal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Özgün Akel made a huge save. Aykutalp Kalagay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shao Hao Ming having to interfere. The Karabaglar Fk fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kayserispor SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
