In the 17th minute Lütfi Patlar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Beyhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şenol Beyhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lütfi Patlar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lütfi Patlar made a kick off. FC Sivas 95's Atacan Yasin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökberk İlker in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Konyaspor booed when FC Sivas 95 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taci Suel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konyaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Gökberk İlker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atacan Yasin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, Konyaspor's Tanju Uğurata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atacan Yasin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Sivas 95's Lütfi Patlar got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
