To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Selendi's goal looked a bit too open when Baki Levent came free, but Atacan Saruca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Selendi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kamber Revan made the kick off in the second half. Cay Yesili's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kamber Revan 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Baki Levent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Atacan Saruca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Selendi's Atacan Saruca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özalp İlhanoğlu in the 61st minute of play. İlhami Çakman charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The long shot by Bumin Nuh in the 96th minute really tested Yusuf Ziya Esraf's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The Selendi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Selendi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
