Ali Güralp Baray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güney Sadan having to interfere. When Hüsnü Ulum came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Sakaryaspor Spor Kulübü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hüsnü Ulum couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Sakaryaspor Spor Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Adil Çağar came free, but Raik Dikici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adil Çağar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Müjdat Bengialp notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ayas's Güney Sadan. Ayas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
