Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aygün Bayır in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reha Okbudun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Aygün Bayır put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Reha Okbudun. Karhan Temizkal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tayfur Enver in the 10th minute. Gökçen Olgunay took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reha Okbudun. Reha Okbudun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tayfur Enver hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Reha Okbudun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gökçen Olgunay went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Reha Okbudun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aygün Bayır in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Edessa Castle getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tekin Özol hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Edessa Castle got a freekick which was hit by Kemal Süvari. In the 39th minute of the match Gani Taşkın shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reha Okbudun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Saimbeyli's Nusret Ocakoğlu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Atabek Özbal, made in the 45th minute of the game. If Gani Taşkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sinan Başkara to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Edessa Castle getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ozan Orkut hit a great ball. The Saimbeyli fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Saimbeyli's Gökçen Olgunay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Reha Okbudun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gani Taşkın in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aygün Bayır in the 62nd minute of play forced Edessa Castle's goalkeeper Reha Okbudun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gökçen Olgunay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Reha Okbudun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Edessa Castle getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hayyam İlter hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Edessa Castle's Tekin Özol got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Hayyam İlter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aygün Bayır was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Reha Okbudun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gökçen Olgunay went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Aygün Bayır might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reha Okbudun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aygün Bayır ran back to his position shaking his head. Hayyam İlter's late challenge caught a Saimbeyli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayyam İlter helped the player get up and apologised. Gökçen Olgunay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reha Okbudun having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Edessa Castle's goalkeeper Reha Okbudun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nusret Ocakoğlu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aygün Bayır in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reha Okbudun saved Edessa Castle from getting behind. Gökçen Olgunay struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Reha Okbudun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saimbeyli. 91 minutes into the match, Edessa Castle's goalkeeper Reha Okbudun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökçen Olgunay. After a defensive mix-up in Edessa Castle's zone, Gani Taşkın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reha Okbudun came out of the goal and Gani Taşkın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saimbeyli's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
