The Fenerbahçe İSK fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Fenerbahçe İSK's Onur Özgenay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Duran Uğurlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Onur Özgenay in the 23rd minute. İstanbul Güngörenspor's Güner Çağnur got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Talip Bahçeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Duran Uğurlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Ahmet Vefik Hisar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duran Uğurlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Talip Bahçeli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Duran Uğurlu, passed just outside the right post. Lütfi Ergüvenç took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duran Uğurlu. İstanbul Güngörenspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hulki Balcan charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hulki Balcan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hulki Balcan kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in İstanbul Güngörenspor's zone, Talip Bahçeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duran Uğurlu came out of the goal and Talip Bahçeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, İstanbul Güngörenspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Egemen Kutal to maneuver through the defense. Duran Uğurlu came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahçe İSK's Talip Bahçeli. But to his dismay, Talip Bahçeli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Bora Han Özdeğer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güner Çağnur, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute Talip Bahçeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duran Uğurlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İstanbul Güngörenspor's Duran Uğurlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğa Selçuk in the 53rd minute of play. Talip Bahçeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duran Uğurlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talip Bahçeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doğa Selçuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duran Uğurlu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Çelebi Ekber in the 64th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe İSK's goalkeeper Bora Han Özdeğer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Güner Çağnur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bora Han Özdeğer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Doğa Selçuk notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of İstanbul Güngörenspor's Duran Uğurlu. Duran Uğurlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doğa Selçuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onur Özgenay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. İstanbul Güngörenspor's Zekeriya Şahiner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bora Han Özdeğer but with some difficulty. Talip Bahçeli's late challenge caught a İstanbul Güngörenspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Talip Bahçeli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Fenerbahçe İSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Talip Bahçeli to maneuver through the defense. If Onur Özgenay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fenerbahçe İSK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
