Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göktuğ Şahin in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birkan Kızılaslan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hazım Kelim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birkan Kızılaslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göktuğ Şahin in the 33rd minute of the match. When Göktuğ Şahin came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Akcakent JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göktuğ Şahin couldn't finish the play. Akcakent JK's Hazım Kelim got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şaban Gözlem in the 48th minute of play forced Akcakent JK's goalkeeper Yıldıray Kadim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atacan Tüzünalp to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ardahan's Melik Hürsev got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Göktuğ Şahin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birkan Kızılaslan. Ardahan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göktuğ Şahin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Güner Baybora charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Atacan Tüzünalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldıray Kadim having to interfere. In the 80th minute Atacan Tüzünalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldıray Kadim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ardahan's goalkeeper Birkan Kızılaslan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hazım Kelim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
