After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Üzeyir Hatipoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Okmeydani's supporters rose to their feet, but Üzeyir Hatipoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melik Aytekin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veli Ocak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Okmeydani's Veli Ocak got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. DARICA GENÇLER BİRLİĞİ's Melik Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veli Ocak in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veli Ocak in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melik Aytekin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Veli Ocak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melik Aytekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Üzeyir Hatipoğlu went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Veli Ocak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Melik Aytekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Coşkun Salik to make the kick off.
