Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeynel Habiboğlu kicked off to start the match. If Resul Akkoyun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurtuluş Dilercan struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Kutlu Tacik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balikesir. Resul Akkoyun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Kutlu Tacik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutlu Tacik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Resul Akkoyun in the 14th minute. Resul Akkoyun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Kutlu Tacik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Güzelbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Kurtuluş Dilercan came free, but Kutlu Tacik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kutlu Tacik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurtuluş Dilercan in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurtuluş Dilercan in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kutlu Tacik saved Güzelbahce from getting behind. Tuncer Usbay hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Güzelbahce's goalkeeper Kutlu Tacik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Balikesir's Kurtuluş Dilercan got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Kurtuluş Dilercan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kutlu Tacik. Kurtuluş Dilercan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Abdi Saygın Kalgay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Kutlu Tacik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Güzelbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Kurtuluş Dilercan came free, but Kutlu Tacik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kutlu Tacik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Resul Akkoyun in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurtuluş Dilercan to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurtuluş Dilercan in the 54th minute of play forced Güzelbahce's goalkeeper Kutlu Tacik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes Güzelbahce got a freekick which was hit by Azim Yetkin. Kurtuluş Dilercan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kutlu Tacik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Güzelbahce defense, Kurtuluş Dilercan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kutlu Tacik. The Güzelbahce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kutlu Tacik should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Güzelbahce booed when Balikesir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Gazi İltemiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Resul Akkoyun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kutlu Tacik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Zeynel Habiboğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75thth minute of the game Resul Akkoyun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Güzelbahce's Kutlu Tacik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Güzelbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Saygın Kalgay came free, but Kutlu Tacik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cem Özbilek during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Güzelbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cem Özbilek to maneuver through the defense. Ufuk Kudret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lefter Çağa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balikesir's Kurtuluş Dilercan got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Resul Akkoyun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kutlu Tacik having to interfere. Resul Akkoyun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Balikesir walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
