The audience thought a goal was coming when Abay Semdin got free with Kutlu Tacik in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kutlu Tacik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hıdır Geylanlar's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 44th match minute, Güzelbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yetkin Taşgan to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
