With a little luck, Beşiktaş's Özbek Çakıroğlu got control of the ball when Mehmet Emin Hızlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Beşiktaş were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gürol Yastıkcığlu was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baykal Mithat to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Gürol Yastıkcığlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bünyamin Ayazoğlu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Abdi Saygın Özinan got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mehmet Emin Hızlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özbek Çakıroğlu having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Baykal Mithat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Özbek Çakıroğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürol Yastıkcığlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Emin Hızlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Özbek Çakıroğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Emin Hızlan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Mehmet Emin Hızlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdi Saygın Özinan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when FC.Burmer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bünyamin Ayazoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Gürol Yastıkcığlu came free, but Özbek Çakıroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Özbek Çakıroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özbek Çakıroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürol Yastıkcığlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Ali Hamza Savtur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Özbek Çakıroğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
