The crowd rose to their feet as menemenspor's Batu Cem İmge slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yunus Malkoçoğlu. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Işıkalp Ergüden during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
