Ahmet Fikret Togay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Sakut Falcıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GrallarGücü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sakut Falcıoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gökçen Yengi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soma's protests and gave Gökçen Yengi a yellow card for diving instead. Gökçen Yengi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ahmet Vefik Yeğiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egemen Tüzmen in the 34th minute of play. Tuncer Kornes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürbüz Uraltan in the 51st minute of play forced GrallarGücü's goalkeeper Ahmet Fikret Togay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osman Nuri Özerdal kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Teoman Seci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdulhamit Tolgunay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Fikret Togay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of GrallarGücü booed when Soma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necmettin Togay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egemen Tüzmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Fikret Togay made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Teoman Seci sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes GrallarGücü got a freekick which was hit by Tuncer Kornes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teoman Seci in the 88th minute of play forced GrallarGücü's goalkeeper Ahmet Fikret Togay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes GrallarGücü got a freekick which was hit by Tuncer Kornes. 93 minutes into the match, Soma's Teoman Seci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Fikret Togay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmet Fikret Togay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teoman Seci went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. GrallarGücü's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
