When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Rüstem Cumhur took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ahmet Vefik Yeğiner to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Soma's Abdulhamit Tolgunay got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulhamit Tolgunay in the 21st minute of play forced Yıldız SK's goalkeeper Cezmi Paşa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olcay Peker got free with Ahmet Vefik Yeğiner in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
