László Beneš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yildirim's Orkun Sulasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Postalkov in the 12th minute of play. Ömer Kadrican made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mahsun Laçin immediately put the ball in play. László Beneš struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Orkun Sulasi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AY YILDIZ. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Orkun Sulasi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th minute of the match AY YILDIZ got a corner. Yildirim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abdulkadir Kargin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Abdulkadir Kargin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orkun Sulasi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Yuri Postalkov came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the AY YILDIZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Postalkov couldn't finish the play. İlbey Dolunay came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Yildirim's Mahsun Laçin. But to his dismay, Mahsun Laçin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alphan Talip stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celil Yaşer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yildirim's zone, Yuri Postalkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orkun Sulasi came out of the goal and Yuri Postalkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Mahsun Laçin notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of AY YILDIZ's İlbey Dolunay. İlbey Dolunay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celil Yaşer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orkun Sulasi having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, AY YILDIZ's goalkeeper İlbey Dolunay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zühtü Tutkun. Yuri Postalkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AY YILDIZ were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
