Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yasin Tuncer started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kastamonu Spor's zone, Selçuk Tokdemir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yavuz Selim Cumhur came out of the goal and Selçuk Tokdemir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kastamonu Spor's Yasin Tuncer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Selçuk Tokdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kastamonu Spor's Yavuz Selim Cumhur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okanay Canver in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Azim Şaki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kastamonu Spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azim Şaki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azim Şaki in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute Yasin Tuncer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Karsiyaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salih Yağızbay to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, one of Karsiyaka:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Haldun Turkay hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Okanay Canver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selçuk Tokdemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Yavuz Selim Cumhur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasin Tuncer in the 40th minute of play forced Karsiyaka's goalkeeper Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Okanay Canver in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yavuz Selim Cumhur saved Kastamonu Spor from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Azim Şaki got free with Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Okanay Canver to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Okanay Canver dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yavuz Selim Cumhur, 3-1. In the 60th minute, Aşık Lebib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Karsiyaka's Salih Yağızbay got a free kick in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emre Irmak during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Selçuk Tokdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azim Şaki might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kutalp Şahsuvaroğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Azim Şaki ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Okanay Canver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karsiyaka's supporters rose to their feet, but Okanay Canver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yavuz Selim Cumhur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Yavuz Selim Cumhur managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Karsiyaka's Selçuk Tokdemir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Suphi Tüzmen during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Karsiyaka booed when Kastamonu Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suphi Tüzmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Selçuk Tokdemir struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Yavuz Selim Cumhur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karsiyaka. Okanay Canver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Yavuz Selim Cumhur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Kastamonu Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Okanay Canver came free, but Yavuz Selim Cumhur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kastamonu Spor had won after a very even match.
