Hürkan Şah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savaşer Mahşer, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Hilmi Korkutalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilmi Korkutalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arda Turgay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ali Baran Ekşioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Zikri İlkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahceköy JK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Zikri İlkan got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Emran Öztek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hürkan Şah showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Savaşer Mahşer in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hürkan Şah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ali Baran Ekşioğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hürkan Şah was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Hilmi Korkutalp made a precise shot to the right of Arda Turgay. Bahceköy JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Balamir İshak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tayyip Ulusoy hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Hürkan Şah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Baran Ekşioğlu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Hürkan Şah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Savaşer Mahşer in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Bahceköy JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edip Kemalettin to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahceköy JK's goalkeeper Arda Turgay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Savaşer Mahşer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hürkan Şah having to interfere. Bahceköy JK's Ali Baran Ekşioğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Savaşer Mahşer in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hürkan Şah saved Galatasaray from getting behind. Hamdullah Kamuran kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Savaşer Mahşer got free in front of the goal in the 71st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Hürkan Şah was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Hürkan Şah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Baran Ekşioğlu. In the 80th minute, Ali Baran Ekşioğlu made a precise shot to the right of Hürkan Şah. Galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilmi Korkutalp in the 85th minute of play forced Bahceköy JK's goalkeeper Arda Turgay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galatasaray's Tayyip Ulusoy got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bahceköy JK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Yücel Harmandalı hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Hilmi Korkutalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilmi Korkutalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balamir İshak got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Ali Baran Ekşioğlu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
