In the 23rd minute of the game, Nuralp Merdan landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 23 minutes into the game, Hürkan Şenol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samsunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darende the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hürkan Şenol to maneuver through the defense. Barışcan Özengin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee ignored Samsunspor's protests and gave Ahmet İlke İrem a yellow card for diving instead. Abdulbaki Niğdeli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mirza Sezer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdulbaki Niğdeli's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Abdulbaki Niğdeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirza Sezer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darende's Abdulbaki Niğdeli got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yetkiner Verim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mirza Sezer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 56th minute, Samsunspor's Yiğit Kuthan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yiğit Kuthan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Samsunspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yiğit Kuthan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 68 minutes into the match, Darende's goal looked a bit too open when Fahri Şen came free, but Müfit Diriğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirza Sezer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulbaki Niğdeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Samsunspor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Abdulbaki Niğdeli scored to the left of an out of position Mirza Sezer, making the score, 2-2. Abdulbaki Niğdeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirza Sezer having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet İlke İrem in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Müfit Diriğ saved Darende from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Darende's zone, Abdullatif Uluöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Müfit Diriğ came out of the goal and Abdullatif Uluöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mirza Sezer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulbaki Niğdeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
