Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barışcan Özengin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Semavi İftihar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Barışcan Özengin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Semavi İftihar was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Barışcan Özengin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samsunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Barışcan Özengin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Semavi İftihar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barışcan Özengin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Samsunspor's Barışcan Özengin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Samsunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Türkoğlu SK the free kick. The supporters of Türkoğlu SK booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yiğit Kuthan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atalay Nurettin missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 96 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Mirza Sezer right hand side. When the match was over Samsunspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Türkoğlu SK throughout the match.
