An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşık Ergüner in the 13th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Recep Kırgız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aşık Ergüner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coşkun Kudret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Aşık Ergüner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Recep Kırgız was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Türkoğlu SK got a freekick which was hit by Atalay Nurettin. After 32 played minutes Türkoğlu SK got a freekick which was hit by Batu Serdar. Acar Gökalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Semavi İftihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Batu Serdar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. Galatasaray's İsa Yanık couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Türkoğlu SK. Atalay Nurettin was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 44th match minute, Türkoğlu SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atalay Nurettin to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Coşkun Kudret left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Coşkun Kudret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Semavi İftihar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acar Gökalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Coşkun Kudret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Türkoğlu SK got a freekick which was hit by Kaptan Özbilen. In the 95th minute Acar Gökalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semavi İftihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Galatasaray walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
